Laredo

So, thanks to another 2 week free trial from Netflix, I got to watch Chad & Jeremy on Laredo tonight. For those counting, they are on Season One, disc 2, episode That's Noway Thataway. As you may know, C&J are itinerant actors, with no money, and they find out that a nearby town has a need for a preacher, and well, hijinks ensue. I forgot it was in color, though I probably saw it the first time in black and white. Bright colors, too. Not much to the plot, but that didn't matter in the 60's when you had 2 English rock stars as leads on a show. Doesn't matter much now either, as it's another curio in their career.

There have been long gaps here, I know, I'm sorry, but there have been gaps in the recent C&J story as well. Next time for me will be a few notes on some indie artists you should know about.

What else? Last night I had some 2 year old frozen seabass with spaghetti that was just phenominal. Found some great bottled sauce, Victoria's Marinara with Basil, that I add diced tomatoes to that's real nice. Almost as good as Rao's, but cheaper, and the difference is hardly noticeable.

Beer time, later :).

Oh yeah. I got the soundtrack to Juno, just to see if it was as quirky as I remembered. It was, don't bother.

  1. Hell, I splashed out and bought it over the net - the UK doesn't seem to have heard of it. But that was a year or so back, when the exchange rate was a whole lot more favourable! It's great fun, cheers up a winter's day.

Pasta over here was asparagus with spring onions (?salad onions? ?scallions? - mild, anyway) with a cheat slurp from a bottle of roasted garlic sauce, topped off with loads of fresh basil. That cheers up a winter's day too :)
