We went up to Mohegan Sun on our unofficial one day Spring Break yesterday, and we checked out the Wolf's Den, where Chad & Jeremy will be playing on 4/26. We watched for a while as a young country band played (loudly) amid a fairly large crowd for a Thursday night. The Wolf's Den is open on three sides, and the music is audible to everyone in fairly close proximity to the Den. It's by no means an intimate venue, and while we didn't enter the Den, I'm sure that whatever noise is outside the Den during quiet songs will no doubt be heard inside as well.
The casino itself was pretty empty, though we were told that it does pick up a bit on weekends. I guess I should have asked about Sunday nights specifically :). Anyway, from the looks of Thursday night, I'm gonna say that given the economy, it shouldn't be too bad crowd-wise. And they serve drinks anyway.
I am proud to say that I myself did not gamble, though my wife lost $20 to the slots. That $20 was part of a larger pot of winnings from 2006 that she's still using, so all in all it was an inexpensive little trip, all told.
That's all I know for now.
