fa la la la la, la la la la
before we get to anything music related...i'm bursting at the seams to tell you about my first christmas tree!!!! of course we always had one as family, but this year i got my first tree as an "adult" and made all the ornaments myself. they should put me on one of those do-it-yourself-on-a-budget shows! i'm not sure it would be up to martha stewart's standards, but i'm darn proud of my fat little tree. we're going to have a white christmas here in vermont for sure...i hope it's still white as i make my way down to connecticut. new snow tires have me singing "let it snow!"
as many of you remember, over the summer i sent out emails asking you to go listen to my songs at yellowhousemedia.com so i could get to the tippy top of their top ten list. well thanks to your support, my three songs on the site ranked #1, 2 and 3 for quite some time. now dave clark at yellow house has put together a concert with the top artists for the year and i'm one of them!! the 2009 local legends music awards will be held at lebanon opera house in lebanon, nh THIS saturday 12/19 at 7pm. all ticketholders will receive a desktop calendar and compilation CD featuring all the "legends" (i'm january!). tickets are available at lebanonoperahouse.org, and even if you can't make it the show you can purchase the CD/calendar at yellowhousemedia.com - proceeds from both will go to the upper valley haven which helps families in need of shelter.
hope everyone has a wonderful holiday season; i'm looking forward to a new year filled with the opportunity to visit new towns and play new music.
glitter and hot glue guns,
lisa p
Not much else going on today, aside from housecleaning, and waiting for the first snow of the season. And the snow blower started right up :).
