Just a quick thanks to Mimi from French Kitchen for her recent comment, and to Liz, for all of hers :).
We survived the show/party/performance yesterday, sober and with heads held high. Speaking for myself & George, that is. It was Woody's party, and let's just say he did himself fine. I will have a picture or two shortly to prove we actually did perform in public for the first time since 1970.
Anyway, I was having a discussion today with someone whose love of Chad & Jeremy maybe even exceeds mine, (you know, in a guy way) about the lyric changes in Zanzibar Sunset, from the 1983 version to the one released in 2006. It seems we all favor the original, and now that they are returning to the studio to re-record a new one for the new CD, we were wondering which lyrics they'd choose. I'm not sure that it matters, though to me the original lyrics, by virtue of their first impression, seem to keep the yearning quality of the song more vibrant and alive. I guess we'll see.
More later, I need to put the salmon in the oven. And have a beer.

Hi Tony, thanks for the thanks! I just signed up at the Yahoo Group so i can converse with fellow Chad and Jeremy fans. You sound like such an upbeat kind of guy and such a proud father. I'm enjoying your blog!
