Teenage Failure

Before we get into the more interesting bits of the history of C&J in KRLA's The Beat, here's a shot of KRLA's Tunedex from 5/28/66. So, when you're told that Teenage Failure was released and immediately sunk into oblivion, you'll know that for at least 1 week, it did crack the top 20 in Los Angeles :).

It was actually a breakout hit, per Billboard, in both Pittsburgh and LA, and certainly was played a lot in CT back in the day.

I bring this up only because people continue to ask for this in their shows. I have no idea whether or not it will eventually turn up, but it does make sense (to me) to include at least a part of it when explaining how this was released in lieu of that other song. The more famous one :).

We will move on shortly.

  1. Good writing! However, while you're doing all that, why not come and enjoy the web rock radio show on my blog? All welcome. Hope to see you there!

  2. Hello, I just found your blog. Nice photos there.
You made a post a while ago mentioning a new DVD by Chad & Jeremy. Do you know anything else about it?
