Sad news today for music fans. Gordon Waller, of Peter & Gordon, passed away this morning in CT after a massive heart attack yesterday. He was 64.

We are deeply saddened to report that some time after 8 p.m. last night East Coast time, Gordon Waller went into cardiac arrest and was taken to the emergency room. Despite intensive efforts on his behalf by hospital personnel, Gordon passed away early this morning. Please keep him in your thoughts and prayers.
Peter and Gordon were scheduled to perform with Chad & Jeremy at the Fallsview Casino in Niagara Falls, ON, on Sept. 19.

That would have been a very interesting joint appearance, Tony. After reading on the Yahoo site, I looked up some photos of Peter & Gordon (was more of a C&J and S&G fan) and was startled to see how handsome he was in a Lennonesque way. In my book, 62 is way too young.
