New Interview

Just found out that the Pete Fornatale interview, recorded late last Fall, will be broadcast this coming Sunday, 04/05, at 7 AM EDT on WFUV-FM, and WFUV.org. From the blurb they gave it on their site (WFUV's), it sounds like some more live music, plus conversation about the Beatles, Paul Simon, and Ark-eology. The station typically archives these shows, so if you miss it, it'll turn up shortly.

So, I had my first interview of 2009 last Friday, with a new recruiting agency, for a purchasing position fairly close by. The brief job description called basically for 2 years of purchasing experience, and that was about it, mentioning no specific skill sets, software experience, etc. I was told to expect a call either last Friday, or certainly by today, whereby an interview might be set up with the employer. I am waiting by the phone at 4:32 PM.

I was also given a skills test for data (numeric and alpha) entry, and as a normal Excel & Word user. Average scores are in the mid to low 70% range. I got 100% on both data entry tests, 90% on Excel, and 97% on Word. I ain't braggin, so don't put me down, but that wasn't that bad, I must say. We shall see if anything comes of it.

And so, as we look forward to 2 Chad & Jeremy shows in the coming weeks, gotta run.
