Been struggling to find that Art of the Song broadcast that was supposed to be running on NPR this week. Most of the station information provided on the Art of the Song web site is dated, or incorrect, or both, so it's been hard to pin down. Next shot is tomorrow at noon on station WHFC-FM in Bel Air, MD. In any event, it will be available sometime next week on the web site http://artofthesong.org/tune-in. Are others struggling with this? Is it only me?
As you know, I'm still doing a search for work. I have, to date, applied (meaning responded to various web postings) for 35 jobs. No interviews, rarely a response to the resume. Am I too old? Is my resume that poorly written? I've registered with 4 agencies for temp work. No calls. Am I too old? Am I blantantly and obviously unemployable? I've sent the resume to about 15 or 20 other agencies, with no luck. What is up with that?
To be honest, I have been receiving 3 or 4 calls each month with job "opportunities" that don't fit. I guess they aren't really reading the resume that closely. Or have missed my career objective.
Rant off. Weather has been nice. I guess I need to find other recruiters to ignore me :).
By the way, I've removed the Chad and Jeremy slide show from the blog. I'll re-work it sometime, with music, and make it better. Hey Jude.
Finally, I'm trying to get the last two video clips out. I'm still somewhat pissed that I got caught taking them, but I guess 3 is better than nothing.
More news when it happens.
