Here's my review from the Yahoo site. While I tried not to sound too much like an a-hole, I'm afraid that my fan-love got the best of me, not that there's anything wrong with that. I do love these guys. Though, now I'm thinking that maybe I should have thrown in the "I have seen the future of rock and roll, and its name is..." line........:
"I was going to do a full review, but then I really don't know how to do that and make it somewhat enjoyable to read so, I'll just give you all some thoughts:
1 - Most of the hits were included in the 100+ minutes. The fact that they can give a show of that length and still leave you missing some real good songs, is a testament to the depth of their catalog. Think about that for a second when you try to compare them to Peter & Gordon and Billy J, both favorites of mine as well.
2 - We got to hear several new (to me) performances of older songs (Early Morning Rain, You Are She), several new songs (The MemorySong, Hummer, Avocado, and Tell You Something Else (hope I got that title right)), and a couple of classics (It Doesn't Matter Any More, Take Out Some Insurance).
3 - I got to see Chad's amazing guitar playing live. September in the Rain I knew was going to be great, but I was also impressed by Rest in Peace, and the solo in the Buddy Holly/Paul Anka song. I've been playing guitar since 1965, first a 12 string in a folk group, and then electric guitar in a rock band, and can only comment that Chad's style is all his own. You just can't classify him as a folk, or rock, or blues player, because he brings all three styles, as well as jazz, into his solos and arrangements. Truly amazing fingerwork and melodic structures.
4 - Jeremy's voice, as well as his writing, has really mellowed and deepened over time. Although Jeremy didn't take credit for writing his reggae flavored solo, Tell You Something Else, the mature theme, and fine acidic humor sure does sound like him.
5 - A beautiful version of You Are She done a capella. Apache done with choreography. Grand piano, mandolin, harmonica, what more can you ask for ?
These are two likeable guys. There's not an ounce of pretension, celebrity, or hubris to be found anywhere. And when I grow up, I want to be just like them :).
I think I may have actually thought that 43 years ago on a cold and snowy day when I listened to their first LP. And oddly enough, it still rings true. So, thanks Caswell for getting them back on the circuit again. It was well worth the wait."

Many thanks for this Tony. It is a help for those of us who cannot get to their gigs to hear from those who do, and the more detail the better!
