So, they snuck this one in on me Saturday evening. The WFUV-FM interview with Pete Fornatale, originally announced for 7 AM on Sunday, arrived a bit earlier than scheduled, but that was ok as we all got a head's up announcement from Bonnie on the Chad & Jeremy Yahoo board. If I had had a life, I would have been off somewhere other that checking the boards for info on whatever. But no, there I was, and I was there in time to grab a beer and sit down and listen.
And a great one it was. Six live songs, including rare live versions of Progress, Pipedream and Homeward Bound on guitar, plus Summer Song, September in the Rain and Zanzibar Sunset. The interview covered some old ground, but due to the knowledge and warm interest of Pete Fornatale, we also got some new stories. The interview was recorded, as I recall, in early November of last year, a day or so before their show in NYC. I guess I could go and check that, but it's late and I know I'm in the neighborhood anyway. So, check www.wfuv.org over the next few days, and I'm sure this will turn up in the archives (Mixed Bag - Interviews). As I commented, this was about as close as one might get to what their live show experience is like.
That's it. I'm still awaiting arrival of my EBay poster.
