Happy New Year

So, Happy New Year!

Anyway, I was just thinking what a great year 2008 was for Chad & Jeremy in the media. We had interviews with Ken Dashow, Cousin Bruce, Raccoon Carney, on the Art of Song, on WNUR in Chicago, the really nice interview on On screen and Beyond, plus video early in the year from Edmonton, Canada. Actually, the list, as far as I know, is this:

WGN TV in Chicago had a quick interview and a live performance of Summer Song. There was also a brief end of tour video done in Chicago, with some fleeting house concert shots

We had a recently discovered (at least for me) a TV shot from Edmonton, Canada, with a nice live Zanzibar Sunset.

Firs,t some YouTube videos from an on air appearance on WNUR in Chicago, and then the discovery of a 47 minute podcast of the show.

Two nice videos from San Diego, plus a couple of new YouTube videos from Shindig. One had Chad & Jill singing I Don't Want To Lose You, Baby, and Funny How Love Can Be. Also, the entire Patty Duke show with C&J turned up on YouTube.

A very nice interview on Art of the Song in June.

Interviews with Bruce Morrow, Ken Dashow, and Raccoon Carney from Winnipeg. All had live performances.

A surprisingly good interview with Chad on On Screen and Beyond, something I found from a mention on their MySpace site.

A long and wonderful show on Come Into the Sunshine, a web radio show, in March, which nicely spanned their career, in mono.

And a touching mention on Clark Weber's Senior Moments page, about a meeting between a "mature" fan and Chad & Jeremy.

Was certainly a very good year, at least for Chad & Jeremy fans. Considering the release of Ark-eology into the above mix, this was their most active year in decades.

So, here's to 2009, more shows, more music, more new friends, and peace on earth.

As well as cold beer at a reasonable price.
