The Second LP

There are no outstanding memories associated with LP # 2, and I remember thinking that this was a chancey purchase with no obvious hits in the package here. As a matter of fact, I still have a problem with this LP among all of the rest, because it sounds, well, pretty pretty lame.

I was never happy with a lot of the song choices here, and I guess the phrase "you had to be there" applies to both the selection and the lush production. Now 40 years is a long time to hold a grudge about bad song selection, so it's all forgiven now, but this one is probably the low point in my collection. And yours, too, as I understand that you didn't see any money from your time with Ember Records, which definitely does suck.

is much more flattering that the yellow atrocity on the LP cover. And Chad did intimate that maybe things were rushed with this particular LP, so I'll let it slide. Certainly on to better things with Columbia for the next one.
